What documentation do I need to engage you? If you are asking us to coordinate a job in a home other than your own, we will need to sight a valid Power of Attorney. In the case of a deceased estate, we will need to review the Will or sight grant of probate or seek our instructions from the executor (if this is not you).
Can you pack and distribute belongings to a number of locations? Yes – we can arrange for goods to be packed, delivered and unpacked if required to any nominated destinations.
As we live overseas, can we liaise with you remotely? Yes - we can arrange all logistics and communicate with you at every stage.
Can you arrange for belongings to be donated to charities? We work with a number of charities and will happily meet such a request. We will also try where we can to rehome items directly to people in need.
Do you ship overseas and interstate? Yes.
Can you prepare a property to be sold? Yes - we are able to coordinate trades, arrange garden or household maintenance, comprehensively clean and style your home, and even liaise with your agent to ensure the house is looking its best prior to every inspection.
Do I need to take out insurance? This is recommended. handledwithcare has its own public liability insurance, as do our suppliers. Although all care is taken to protect your personal belongings, it is highly recommended that you take out or review your existing insurance, for peace of mind.
Will I be able to talk with the same person throughout my job? Yes - you will have one point of contact who will look after you throughout your journey.
Is there a set fee for your services? We have found that every situation is different. Before quoting, we consult with our clients to establish their needs and tailor a package of services to meet these. Our consultations are obligation free and our rates are competitive. We do not quote set fees prior to a consultation.
